Home care that protects routine and independence

Solas provides practical home care support in Tallaght, Dublin 24 and nearby communities. Assistance is agreed around the person’s daily needs, preferred way of doing things and existing support network.

What home support may include

Personal Care

Respectful help with washing, dressing, grooming and other agreed personal routines. Privacy, consent and comfort guide how assistance is provided.

Meal Preparation

Support with planning and preparing simple meals that reflect known preferences, dietary guidance and the person’s abilities.

Medication Prompts

Reminders to take medication according to an existing prescription and agreed routine. A prompt is not the same as selecting, dispensing or administering medicine.

Household Tasks

Light practical help connected to the person’s wellbeing, such as keeping essential areas organised and supporting everyday domestic routines.

Overnight Assistance

Planned overnight presence or support may be considered after the duties, risks, sleeping arrangements and response expectations are assessed.

Support After Hospital Discharge

Non-clinical help with settling back at home, meals, basic routines and following an agreed discharge plan. Solas does not replace nursing, therapy or medical follow-up.

Who may benefit

Home care may suit an older adult, an adult with a disability, someone recovering after a hospital stay or a family trying to maintain a stable routine at home.

The level of assistance is determined by actual need. Solas will not recommend tasks simply to increase service hours.
